Position Summary:
The role of a Packer is to ensure that both the product being packed along with the bundle itself, will meet the specification standards expected by Homeland Vinyl.

Essential Job Functions and Required Skills:
Good communication skills
Attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
Ability to perform basic math calculations
Ability to read measuring devices such as micrometers, tape measures and dial calipers
Ability to maintain a safe, clean work environment
Ability to identify all common defects associated with product production (burn, color, bow, wave, vacuum, impact, contamination, scratch lines, streaks, sink and gloss)
Perform all required inspections
Ability to operate various equipment, such as a sawzall, chop saw, pressurized air tools, hand strappers, wood saw, razor knife, etc.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and/or walk for 8 to 12 hours shifts, as schedule demands
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs., with repetition, and on occasion up to 40 lbs.
Ability to move parts from one location to another, as needed
Ability to work 12 hours per day and 42 hours per week, as scheduled
Ability to perform packing / banding

Schedule:
Non-rotating, 12-hour shifts.

Day shift: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Grave shift: 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Week one: Working Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Off Wednesday and Thursday.
Week two: Working Wednesday and Thursday. Off Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

SKILLS AND, KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
•Mechanical aptitude and in-depth knowledge of plumbing, pumps, electrical power systems and components, and PLC programming.
•In-depth understanding of the importance of preventative maintenance inspections.
•Technical knowledge of equipment components.
•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
•Ability to work with others.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
•Capable of climbing.
•Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time.
•Must be able to work in both hot and cold environments.
•Must be able to work on man lifts at ceiling height.

Schedule:
Non-rotating, 12-hour shifts.
Day shift: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Grave shift: 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Week one: Working Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Off Wednesday and Thursday.
Week two: Working Wednesday and Thursday. Off Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
*Please note: While there are opportunities available on days or graves, you will not be rotated from one shift to another.
