🌲 Congratulations to Logan Bonczar on officially becoming a Journeyman Treeman! 🌲

After years of hard work, hands-on training, and dedication to the trade, Logan has successfully passed his Journeyman Treeman test, officially advancing from a Treeman 3rd year to a Journeyman Treeman.

Reaching this milestone takes commitment, perseverance, and a willingness to learn from every challenge along the way. Logan has put in the time, developed his skills, and earned the respect that comes with achieving this classification.

This is a major accomplishment and one that reflects the hard work he's invested throughout his career. We're proud to have Logan as part of the HRS team and look forward to seeing all he continues to accomplish.

Congratulations to Steven Clemons on officially topping out as a Journeyman Lineman! ️

When asked about his favorite part of the apprenticeship, Steven shared that it was traveling around and meeting new people. Throughout his journey, he built relationships across every yard he worked in and is pictured here with one of his mentors, Jake Jandrew, who helped guide him along the way.

As if one milestone wasn't enough, Steven also celebrated another exciting chapter last month: he got married!

Congratulations, Steven, on both accomplishments! We’re proud to have you on the HRS team and look forward to watching your career continue to grow. Here's to the next chapter, both on the job and at home!

Maryland Storm Restoration Progress💪🏼⚡️

Our crews continue making significant progress rebuilding the transmission system following the recent storm.
Over the past several nights, crews have worked overnight to pull wire across I-97 with the assistance of the Maryland State Police. More than 20 rolling roadblocks were conducted to safely pull ropes and conductors across the highway while minimizing impacts to the traveling public.
To date, all 24 damaged double-circuit transmission structures with 13kV underbuild distribution have been set and framed.
Crews have also partnered with Bay Crane to set poles in areas where access has been especially challenging due to the nearby MDOT railroad.
Thank you to our lineworkers, contractors, Maryland State Police, Bay Crane, Copper and Cable Electric, and everyone supporting this restoration effort. Your dedication and teamwork continue to move this project forward safely and efficiently.

In June, the Sweethearts & Heroes team had the honor of being part of H. Richardson & Sons' 2nd Annual Safety Base Camp—a day dedicated to investing in the people who make the work possible.

While safety skills, leadership, and wellness are all essential, one of the greatest keys to creating a safer workplace is something we don't talk about enough: community and connection. When people know one another beyond the job, they communicate better, look out for each other, and aren't afraid to speak up when something doesn't seem right. That's why we believe connection is one of the most powerful tools for building a stronger, healthier, and safer workforce.

Many of our linemen are currently in Maryland, helping with a major storm restoration effort to bring power back to thousands of customers. It's a big job that means long hours, difficult conditions, and a commitment to serving others.

Today, we hit pause on the daily grind and focused on something even more important than the work itself: our people.

Our employees spent the day investing in what matters most: safety, wellness, leadership, and personal growth. From an inspiring keynote presentation by Brent Gleeson to engaging wellness breakout sessions and a powerful closing message from Dale Lesinski, Safety Base Camp was filled with valuable lessons, meaningful conversations, and opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.

A special thank you to our speakers, breakout session leaders, food truck vendors, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this event possible. Most importantly, thank you to our employees for embracing the day and for their ongoing commitment to creating a safer, healthier, and stronger workforce.

Safety Base Camp reflects our belief that investing in our people is one of the most important investments we can make. When our employees are equipped with the tools to succeed both on and off the job, everyone benefits.

Our Fiber crews recently completed a 20-foot underground open trench installation in Buffalo, working alongside National Grid and safely crossing a 230kV duct bank.

Projects like this require careful planning, teamwork, and a commitment to safety every step of the way. We're incredibly proud of our crew for successfully completing the work and representing HRS with professionalism and excellence.
