When BancFirst acquired the former Cotter Ranch Tower in 2018, Bockus Payne was tasked with reimagining Oklahoma City’s 50+ year old tower. Originally constructed in 1972 as the Liberty Bank headquarters, the tower is the 6th tallest building in Oklahoma.

Renovations included new curtain wall glazing by Vitro Architectural Glass, updated interiors, and a reinvented lobby with a pedestrian-friendly outdoor plaza. The exterior space, once described as a “tarmac,” was replaced by a community green space full of native Oklahoma perennials and grasses. The design team removed many large non-load bearing columns, dramatically increasing natural light in the modern lobby.

Artform was retained by Lingo Construction to aid the design and fabrication scope for a series of architectural metal scopes of work, highlighted by 22 pentagon columns that tower 30 feet from the plaza. The stainless steel finished columns frame the new glass lobby walls provided by Novum Structures.

The project was awarded a Distinguished Merit Award from the Urban Land Institute in 2024. Share your thoughts or reach out to discuss similar collaborations.

The University of Central Oklahoma Boathouse is more than a home for the UCO rowing team—it’s a striking architectural statement. Designed by Rand Elliott Architects, the building features a dynamic exterior of insulated metal panels with custom punched openings tinted in the university’s colors. Its complex geometry, defined by intersecting planes and bold angles, gives the structure a sleek, fast, and purposeful presence along the water.

Artform was engaged by Lingo Construction to contribute façade assistance, custom architectural metal fabrication, and installation for the custom metal cladding system, helping bring this unique architectural vision to life.
