Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center is currently searching for a part-time Construction Management instructor for their new Construction Management Academy.

The role involves teaching evening, short-term courses for adults looking to break into construction management or move up in it. Classes start in early 2027.

What they're looking for:
• 5+ years in construction management, project management, supervision, or estimating
• Commercial project experience
• OSHA 30
• No degree required – field experience counts

Bonus points for estimating & takeoffs, scheduling, RFIs/submittals/change orders, or Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project.

It's part-time and in the evenings, so it works for a PM or super who's still running work, or someone semi-retired who wants to give back. The instructor will also help build the curriculum.

We all talk about the workforce gap in this industry – this is a chance to do something about it right here in Oklahoma.

This week, students started the NABCEP PV Associate training program for the Pawnee Nation — the workforce side of the Rural Energy Pilot Program that’s bringing the Nation’s first solar array into production.

This program has been several years in the making, and while the solar array is the visible part- the people who will own, operate, and maintain it are the part that lasts.

A special thank you to OSU-OKC, Everblue Training Institute, and the Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma for allowing Stronghold Construction to be part of this — not just as builders, but as part of workforce development.

Energy sovereignty and workforce development, built in tandem. That’s the goal.

The day before independence was declared, John Adams wrote his wife with an incredible vision of what this country could become:

“The Forth Day of July 1776 will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America… It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.”

Two hundred and fifty years later, we still share that vision.
