We are constantly on the lookout for HVAC Service Technicians and installers with a thorough knowledge of HVAC systems and methods, who are problem-solvers and troubleshooters, have incredible attention to detail, and aren't afraid of tackling new technology to deliver unmatched comfort to our customers.
Our technicians are not required to have minimum sales numbers, average tickets, and our ever growing customer base helps keep you busy during slow seasons. Air Works is family-oriented and flexible.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a friendly and knowledgeable representative of Air Works in all business-related interactions.
Install, maintain, and repair HVAC equipment and systems of all types for residential customers.
Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
Work with dispatch to ensure your schedule is maintained.
Work rotating shifts, as required, days, nights, weekends, and overtime (when necessary).
Maintain good working order and cleanliness of company vehicle, including refueling and reporting mechanical issues.
Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
Document service calls and equipment: make, model, serial number, necessary test measurements, and recommended solutions.
Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate systems to manufacturer's recommendations.
Communicate to dispatch, parts procurement, supervisors and managers, as needed, to keep company and customers informed about work progressions.
Submit detailed, complete, and timely reporting.
Participate in company-provided training opportunities on the latest industry technologies.
Identify and report to supervisor/manager potential opportunities for additional business.
Observe all company procedures and safety rules.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Three plus years of residential HVAC service (preferred).
Journeyman's Licensing preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Outstanding customer relations skills.
Proven ability to make independent decisions.
Basic computer skills.
Good driving record (required).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
While performing this job's duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and climb; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. Daily bending, stooping, and kneeling is required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The position requires constant physical activity performing strenuous daily activities of a primarily mechanical nature.
