One thing we often over look, is how the rising energy costs affect the poor population. As energy costs rise, those with steady higher paying jobs are able to better absorb the increased in costs, while for a low income house hold loses a greater percentage of their income due to these costs. Building green can change that.

The utility companies that lobbied for this bill claim they need to recuperate losses, and that they know that green energy is growing and that they are trying to stay ahead of it.... by taxing those who are making the switch to a cleaner energy source? That's the wrong Direction

Oklahoma residents who produce their own energy through solar panels or small wind turbines on their property will now be charged an additional fee, the result of a new bill passed by the state legislature.
