Anyone in the mood for an indoor / outdoor pool with a massive, motorized pivot door? TBS engineered this door to seal directly with the pool cover and/or water surface which gives the owners the ability to swim underneath the door and enjoy the outdoors without cooling the indoor swimming and spa area. Constructed using the highest quality thermally broken stainless steel frames, this doors is built to withstand the constant exposure to water and the harshest winter climates you can throw its way. Currently TBS has a number of large projects in the US utilizing our motorized overhead pivoting doors and we hope to be able to post more about those later this year! Our Colony Project has been featured in Clientele Luxury Magazine for their 2022 ed. of the TOP 10 HOMES IN THE USA! We are honored to be mentioned for the engineering and supply of all of the steel windows and doors that went into this legacy-quality modern compound. Of course, none of it would have been possible without the passionate and ingenious team that the Iluminus Group selected to lead the charge in bringing this world-class estate to fruition.

As with all of our projects, we always close out with a final summary of lessons that we have taken away from the journey. No matter how many projects we complete, we never stop learning and we never stop growing, and that is what we really wanted this post to highlight. It is so easy to say that during these projects, the only thing that constantly changes is the state of the project, but what we often tend to forget and disregard is that with time and experience, we too are in a constant state of change. That is to say, our effect on the world around us throughout time inevitably has an equal affect on us. Unless we take time to sit with ourselves and our team to understand how we have grown and in what ways we want to grow, the core benefit of these experiences becomes lost because we are only acknowledging one side of the equation. So, to those engaged in one or multiple endeavors, or in pursuit of a goal or dream, BE INSPIRED by the destination AND the journey.

The Frederik Meijer Gardens project is one that we have been working on for quite some time now and it is truly exciting to see all of the final pieces fall into place. From the extensive engineering to the plethora of high-end finishes and pinpoint craftmanship, the completion of this build is as much a piece of art as the park itself. If you are ever in the area, do yourself a favor and spend some time at one of the nation's premier horticultural display gardens and sculpture parks in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Oh, and don’t forget to take a peek at all of those windows and doors while you’re there 😉.

At TBS, we take pride in every aspect that brings a successful project from conception through
completion. Over the past couple of years TBS has developed a number of custom hardware solutions
for our clients and we continue to do so each and every year. Here we have our custom mini flush pulls
(TBS-FP5) for sliding windows and doors that we designed in collaboration with our partners at . Unlike traditional flush pulls, the FP5 features a narrow profile which allows it to be mounted in profiles as narrow as 1-1/4” and the ½” deep bucket provides the user with ample grip during operation. The availability of over 13 timeless finishes also makes integrating these solid bronze pulls to any décor for window/door frame effortless. The point is, at TBS, we don’t stop looking when a solution doesn’t already exist, we just make it happen – one way or the other.

Look at this little rooftop hideaway tucked away in Upper West Side Manhattan! We finished this project just in time for the owners to enjoy the spring weather. The door leading to the rooftop patio is our signature thermally broken steel series and all of the fixed and operable windows are furnished in our narrow Fire Rated series. We take pride in being one of the only companies that are able to seamlessly blend fire-rated units with the authentic, narrow sightlines of non-fire-rated steel windows and doors.
