We had such a fun morning welcoming the Richland County CEO students to our shop for a tour. These students had great questions and were so attentive. It was fun to have them here and show them a little bit of what we do. These young entrepreneurs have a bright future ahead of them!

Did you know? Eighteen Illinois counties passed resolutions of support for the Illinois oil production industry in 2019. These 18 counties are responsible for 93% of the state's oil production and the oil production industry provides more than 2,500 direct jobs and more than $1 billion in annual economic impact combined in these counties. Houston? Tulsa? Dallas? Nope. Noble, IL, claimed the title (albeit probably disputed) with the following banner after the discovery of the Noble Field in 1937. The claim had some merit. The Oil & Gas Journal's James McIntyre reported that Illinois was home to the greatest oil lease boom in the country that year.

This is a very cool little video. The glory days of the oil production have come and gone in Richland County. But a large part of the population here still depends on regional Oil and Gas production for income and a way of life.

It is estimated that nearly four billion barrels of oil remain in the Illinois Basin, writes Seth Whitehead of the Illinois Petroleum Resources Board.

We want to wish the best of luck to Isaac Klingler as he continues his college education at USI this fall!
