Can Demaskus class last weekend was a huge success. Kevin our instructor gave a detailed metallurgical history and hands on training of the process. Each student made a closed can billet of powdered steel and ball bearings. They mad a canoe style billet using different kinds of carbon steel from around the shop.

The Praire Blacksmith Association in association with the Indian Creek Museum is hosting their annual conference October 3-6. Located at 59256 380 street Emerson Iowa. There will be an auction of blacksmith tooling and equipment Saturday night , 3 Oct,starting at 5 pm.
Welders, forges, fly press, drill press, tongs, steel, swage block, hand tools and so much more.

Bring your tools and equipment to sell or trade. Sloppy Joe lunch around noon , bring something to share.
