This summer, Abbey got a firsthand look at life in the field while working with three different crews as she pursues a degree in Construction Engineering. She even had the chance to work alongside her dad, longtime team member Lucas, on the same water project for a few weeks.

Her advice, “Invest in some lightweight jeans (ha!), brace for long days, and don’t be afraid to talk to people. You won’t know much starting out and you’ll feel in the way. That’s normal. Just ask for help or direction.”
