Job description

Job Title: New Construction HVAC Installer
Reports to: New Construction Manager
Work Hours: 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, overtime and weekends
Pay Scale: $18.00 – $32.00 plus benefits depending on experience and licenses

Required Qualifications:
• City of Omaha Journeyman’s or Apprentice License
• Valid driver’s license
• EPA Certification
• Own tools used to install ductwork and HVAC equipment
• Proficient in installing round, rectangular and flex duct
• Able to measure ductwork and install all equipment accessories
• Work from 28’ extension ladder and 12’ step ladder
• Insurable driving record
• Basic understanding of more complex sheet metal fittings
• Can complete production homes unsupervised and on budget
• Can complete simple low voltage connections on furnaces, air handlers and air conditioners
• Must be able to communicate well with supervisors, builders and other trades
• Maintain builder and subcontractors’ relations
• Ability to complete all necessary paperwork
• Able to complete and follow through on change orders
• Braze line sets
• Must possess universal refrigeration license
• Test line sets
Desired Qualifications:
• HVAC Technical School Certificate and/or Equivalent Experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• NATE Certification (optional)
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Operate company vehicle daily
• Follow instructions from supervisor and carry out in timely manner.
• Supervise and be responsible for other apprentice installers
• Report problems with company tools or vehicle promptly.
• Work well with customers, co-workers and subcontractors
• Work staggered schedule if required
• Maintain professional relationship with builders
• Run and work a job from start to finish
• Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times.
• Run a job without supervision
• Complete jobs within the labor budget
• Complete all necessary paperwork, job packets, change orders, timecards
• 12 hours of job-related training annually
• Prepare for NATE core test
• Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $32.00 per hour
