Once again, Aubrey brightens up our page with her beautiful smile. The photos taken last month, features Aubrey with her lamb and pig projects. She has named her lamb Amos and the pig Eugene. This Month’s Employee Spotlight is on Doug. Doug, a Project Manager & Subcontractor Manager for Moran Iron Works, joined our team two years ago. Doug received his degree in Electronic Engineering from ITT Technical Institute. In addition to being family centered as a husband, father and grandfather, Doug enjoys helping out his neighbors throughout the year with yard clean up and shoveling. His favorite project to date was the uniqueness of the “Dipper Damper” which ended up being a very successful project. Doug, thanks for joining the MIW Team and sharing your talents.

We’re in the final stretch! Our paint team is hard at work spraying the exterior, while our fabrication crew and subcontractors are inside wrapping up those last finishing touches. The excitement is building as the DNR Steelhead prepares for its voyage to the port at the end of the month. Here are a few photos from the progress! Stay tuned, we’re almost there!

Madilyn had learned about the Moran Iron Works Employer of the Day hiring event at the Michigan Works! Onaway office but was unable to attend. During a previous visit, she had expressed interest in opportunities with the company. When Career Navigator Jenny learned she missed the event, she quickly....

We've shared a bit ago about the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Research Vessel and thought we'd share some sneak peak photos as it's nearing completion. This has been an exciting build watching our MIW Team fabricate this beautiful vessel. We can't wait to get the Steelhead in the water this spring.
