Hill Fix It recently attended the 2 day Winter Code Building Updates (Residential & Commercial) hosted by the Wisconsin Code Officials Alliance. 🏗️📚
As a certified contractor and home remodeler, staying up to date on building code changes isn’t optional — it’s essential. Attending these updates ensures we remain informed on the latest state requirements, maintain our certifications and licenses, and continue delivering work that meets (and exceeds) Wisconsin standards.

We are incredibly grateful and honored to have been selected as a microgrant awardee from Cedar Growth CDFI. This support allows Hill Fix It LLC to continue doing the work we care deeply about--serving and building alongside and with tribal communities.

We are also especially thankful that our daughter, Bella, was able to attend with me the Cedar Growth Awards Banquet, held at St. Croix Casino. Including the next generation in what's being built for the future is so important to us. Teaching our children the value of community, hard work, and shared growth is part of the foundation we hope to leave behind.
As a small business, we truly believe that "giving and receiving are two sides of the same circle"--you can't have one without the other.

December was a busy and meaningful month for Hill Fix It LLC!

We had the opportunity to attend 2025, which was both insightful and compelling. Listening to Pam Boivin of the Menominee Nation, newly elected Chairwoman of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, was especially powerful. Her moving and heartfelt speech left us inspired and motivated.

Connecting with diverse entrepreneurs from across Wisconsin was truly impactful. The energy, stories, and shared experiences reinforced our drive to keep pushing forward as an Indigenous small business.

Giving back has always been a core goal and value of Hill Fix It LLC. This December, we were honored to attend the Ho-Chunk Nation’s first annual National Treasures Gala, co-hosted with the Ho-Chunk Nation Museum and Cultural Center. The evening celebrated tribal members who have made—and continue to make—lasting impacts through language, culture, and traditions.

We are proud to share that Hill Fix It LLC donated $2,000 to the Ho-Chunk Nation Museum and Cultural Center to help honor, preserve, and revitalize the Ho-Chunk Nation’s history and culture.

Being able to support meaningful causes and organizations within our tribal communities is incredibly important to us, and we are grateful for the opportunity to do so.
