Belding

Installed the sill plates. We are waiting on metal steel beams to be installed and special ordered 34’ long beams to be cut and delivered so we can install the beams and floor joists and then sub flooring.

Olivet

Removed a bunch of flooring and rotted out floor joists. Some of the joists are good and will go back in when we are done changing out the carrier beams. We changed out 2 carrier beams, poured 2 of 10 new concrete piers. We also installed rebar and filled the cores on the block wall.

I looked at a project today and came across this beautiful piece of history. This was a hog barn 70+ years ago. They would cook beans in the big cauldron and use that to slop the hogs. Unfortunately they are not concerned with saving any of this, the building is all but down.
I think this is a unique feature to an old farm operation.

We got a little siding repaired, a few floor joists in and 2 layers of flooring in one of the hay mows.
Got another rotted sill beam exposed and a plan in place for next week

Always something more that needs to be fixed! Needed some more foundation repairs and purlin beams. We have 1 more small interior beam to change out. It’s going to be a little time consuming so, we are going to wait for another rainy nasty day for that one.
Put in 1 sill beam and a few new floor joists. Still working on the stones. That should be be completed this week.

We got a bit of the stones tuck pointed and some of the stones that had fallen out relayed.
The new swing beam is all new! We are now going to need to address the lack of sills on that wall.
