We have been honored to have Travis Zurmond as part of the Oostburg Seamless Gutters family for over 20 years. Travis and Sarah Zurmond are excited to announce that they are the new owners of Lakeside Soft Spa! The Zurmond family is excited to continue providing the reliable Softub sales and service you know and trust.

Lakeside Soft Spa has proudly served our community for 34 years across three generations, and we’re honored to continue that legacy as the third generation of ownership.

To ensure a smooth transition, Amy and Scott will still be around, helping with training and getting us up to speed—and if you’re lucky, you may even see Henry stop by too!

Ice dams form when heat from inside the house warms the roof just enough to melt snow. The water runs down until it hits the colder edge of the roof or the gutter, where it refreezes. Over time, that ice builds up into a ridge-a dam. Meltwater has nowhere to go, so it backs up under the shingles and into the house.
Getting rid of them isn't about brute force. Chipping at the roof with a shovel or axe feels productive, but it can crack shingles, tear gutters loose, or send ice crashing down on someone standing below.
The safest short-term fix is to remove the snow above the dam. A roof rake, used from the ground, can clear a few feet of snow so less water is melting and feeding the ice. You don't need to scrape down to bare shingles- just reducing the load helps!
