Mamas who have experienced the devastating loss of a child... I surely realize there is no way to replace, avoid, or hide the profound sense of emptiness that has been created in my heart and soul. I will never be the same person again. Life continues to move forward for most individuals, but I find myself stuck in a perpetual cycle, unable to find the strength to take another step forward in the way I once did. Im quite sure that this sense of emptiness and brokenness may be a permanent aspect of my life. A shattered piece that can never be fully restored. I hope that others will continue to treasure the memories and conversations they shared with him, as he had a profound impact on so many people. May his legacy truly live on. It is extremely difficult to comprehend that he, and many others who have been lost, have been forgotten by so many people whose lives they touched. This lack of remembrance seems unfair, but I take comfort in knowing that there are those who will never forget, and have been deeply affected by his presence in their lives.
