Customer heading back to Kentucky yesterday with his 71 Corvette Stingray in tow and had a bearing go out on his front trailer axle.

Luckily we had the correct one in stock for this old hallmark trailer. Got him in and out in the same day with some minor fab work to the mounting brackets.

Full bearing replacement on the rear axle, take a look at the last pic to see what those looked like.

Breaks disconnecting and connecting?

Getting a OL (Overload) signal on your aftermarket brake controller?

A culprit most people don’t know about or check because they can’t see it is the internal brake wires running inside your axle tubing from the factory.

Below is what we found today on a customers enclosed car hauler.

The factory typically uses a 14 or 16 gauge bonded uncoated wire.

We go back with 12 or 10 gauge bonded coated wire depending on the length of the trailer and brake size.

Quick little 4-way plug replacement at the Oakleaf Home Depot on one of their rental trailers!

Rental customer dragged the plug a short ways and rubbed the ends off which caused it not to fit snuggly into the vehicle side = no lights!

Got it swapped out and they are good to go!

Customer yanked his emergency brake pull on his boat trailer and then proceeded to drive with it engaged for a ways until he started to see smoke!

Luckily it didn’t damage the rotors too bad and he just smoked his pads!

Fresh stainless backed pads all the way around!

Everyday is something new… i’m honestly impressed with how bad this one is.

I am going to come out with a locking 7 way so drivers can’t tamper with them 🤣
