⚡ Another milestone for Maine’s energy future!
We're proud to celebrate the energization of Central Maine Power’s new smart grid facility in Westbrook — a significant step forward in building a more resilient, reliable, and responsive electric system for our customers. This state-of-the-art facility enhances visibility and control across the grid, helping us respond faster to outages, integrate more energy sources, and deliver better service across the region. It’s a key milestone in our ongoing commitment to grid modernization — strengthening infrastructure today while preparing for the energy needs of tomorrow.
“This switching station is a major step forward with reliable, modern infrastructure like this that is essential to unlocking economic development in both our city and our state," said Westbrook Mayor David Morse.
