Big turbo, LS power, shiny parts and everyone stopping to check it out. The only unrealistic part is all that money still sitting around this build already ate that! 💸🐌

The LS Comanche is getting closer. We can’t wait to get this thing back on the street and hear that turbo sing!

Our local tour guide Ryan made it back to Japan again this year, and of course he had to rep the Backyard Builds swag while he was out there! 🔥

🧹🔥 ENGINE BAY CLEANUP IS UNDERWAY!! 🔥🧹

We started cleaning up the LS Comanche engine bay this week, and man… what a difference already!

Ryan Sayre was DEAD SET that we could get the PDC tucked underneath the heater core box. I wasn’t completely convinced… but wouldn’t you know it IT FIT LIKE A GLOVE! 😂👌

While we were in there, we went ahead and wire tucked everything on that side of the engine bay and rerouted the overflow tank over to the driver side. It seriously cleaned everything up and gave us a TON more room for activities. 😏

Today we’ll get everything wrapped up, install the new heater core, and then she’ll be BACK TO RIPPING! 💨🔥

Now that we’ve got all this extra room under the hood…

Who knows… maybe it’s finally time to throw one of those big ol’ hair dryers 🐌 on the Comanche. 😉😂

There aren't many better feelings than bringing another Jeep back to life. 🔧🔥

Tonight we wrapped up a full 4x4 transmission swap on the Cherokee we picked up from our customer in Price, Utah.
After putting in a full day at our regular 9-to-5 jobs, we hit the shop at 8:00 PM and didn't call it quits until 12:30 AM. Not a bad night's work if you ask us!!

This is what Backyard Builds is all about burning the midnight oil, putting in the extra hours, and making sure our customers get back on the road as quickly as possible.

Now its time for a quick rinse and this thing should be good to go.

He'll be back soon for the front axle swap, and once that's done, this Cherokee will officially be a true 4x4. We can't wait to finish it up! 👊

Last Friday we made the trip out to Price, Utah to pick up this customer's Jeep after the transmission finally gave up.

This week our focus was wrapping up the Ford 8.8 swap on the LS Comanche, so today we finally rolled this Jeep onto the lift and got to work. If all goes as planned, she'll be back on the road by Friday afternoon! 👊

A lot of people don't realize Backyard Builds is our second job. We put in a full day, then head to the shop and work the night shift chasing projects like this. Long days, late nights, and plenty of busted knuckles but getting our customers back behind the wheel is what it's all about.
