Feeling extra grateful today.
I took a little time to reflect on how far we’ve come with our first big project here in Orinda, and honestly, it’s been a journey in every sense of the word.
We’re more than halfway through now, and looking back, I’m grateful for all of it — the progress, the challenges, the frustrations, the lessons, and the people who have helped us along the way.
This project has taught me so much. Not just about building a home, but about patience, persistence, problem-solving, trust, and continuing to move forward even when things don’t go exactly as planned.
I’m especially grateful for the good people and partners we’ve met through this process — Jose, Michael, Christian, Misa, Aldair, and everyone else who has played a part in helping bring this vision to life.
As they say, it’s not just the destination that matters. It’s the whole journey. The tough days, the good days, the lessons, the small wins, and the moments where you stop and realize how far you’ve actually come.
At the end of the day, I’m just grateful. Grateful for the process. Grateful for the growth. Grateful for the people. And grateful for the opportunity to keep building something meaningful.
