One of our valued clients reached out to us for a repair service. The issue was one of their bathroom door strikes at the pool had been vandalized by someone trying to pry the door open. When the incident occurred it damaged the doorframe, weather stripping and the electronic strike. We were able to replace the strike, repaired the doorframe and paint matched the color for our client.

Dangers of Water Intrusion



There are several dangers associated with intrusion, and they can impact both the structure itself and the occupants of the building. When water is allowed to accumulate, it can lead to the development of toxic mold, and that can have a big impact on the health of people spending long periods of time in the home. It can also lead to issues with the quality of the air indoors, and this can worsen existing respiratory issues or cause new ones to develop.

Depending on the type of intrusion that has occurred, the imposition may cause significant damage to the building itself, to even the overall structure. When the structure becomes weakened by water damage, it can compromise the entire framework of the building, and if this is not identified in time, it can even cause the entire structure to degrade. It is not uncommon for water-saturated wooden beams to lose all of their strength and collapse, thereby destroying the integrity of at least a section of the overall framework.

Most homes contain high-value items such as appliances or computer equipment, and if there is an intrusion that makes its way into that particular room of the home, some major damage can occur. In this case, there will be double the damage done, because the building itself will be weakened, and there is a strong likelihood that any valuables or family keepsakes will be damaged or destroyed as well.

One of our longtime clients was looking to install card readers and maglocks to the bathrooms at their pool cabana. They already had an existing access control system on the main pool gate, so we added card readers, door frame maglocks, motion sensor request to exit and secondary push to exit buttons.

One of our communities were having an issue with unwanted guests kicking and breaking the pickets on the main pool gate to gain access. This resulted in having to perform several costly emergency repairs at the site. To fix this issue we installed a sheet of expanded metal to prevent future damage to the pool gate. We at Alden always want to help our communities find the best solutions for reoccurring problems. Safety is our number one goal for everything we do and repair.
