Good food, great people, and an even better team. šŸ”„šŸ”

This week, we kicked off our Orlando office monthly cookout series bringing the team together to relax, connect, and enjoy lunch. We know strong teams are built both on and off the project.
From great conversations to plenty of laughs, it was a great way to spend the afternoon, and we’re already looking forward to the next one. šŸ‘

Nothing brings a team together like great food and a shared commitment to getting the job done right. šŸ“šŸ’Ŗ
Our Fuel the Field lunch was a chance to refuel, connect, and show appreciation for the hardworking crews who keep projects moving every day. At Mader Southeast, we know our people are the foundation of everything we build.

BECAUSE MADER CARES! In 2025, Mader Southeast maintained its longstanding commitment to supporting non-profit organizations. Specifically, Mader worked with iBuild Central Florida (an organization that introduces young people to career opportunities in the core trades - Ibuildcentralflorida) and Dave's House -- a non-profit that provides supportive housing to people diagnosed with a serious mental illness. Mader also lent its support to the Children's Safety Village of Central Florida and the Orlando Union Rescue Mission. At the Safety Village, Mader stepped in to make repairs to various building -- completing some carpentry and stucco work. Mader Field Superintendent Jimmy Crisp worked with the Village's Executive Director Brent E. Moore to make the needed improvements and repairs. At the Orlando Union Rescue Mission, Mader showed up multiple times -- in one case serving lunch to the residents, in another, sorting through close to 1,000 donated toys to be distributed to children this holiday season. Happy holidays and best wishes in 2026.

Our Tampa office was graced with a special visit from our team’s little helpers! The kids jumped right in to decorate the office, brining creativity, color, and big smiles to everyone’s day. At Mader Southeast we’re proud to be a family-oriented organization and moment like these remind us how meaningful that is. The joy and enthusiasm each child brought truly brighten the workplace and the hearts of their parents.

EVEN THE PROS BREAK FOR LUNCH! The Mader University Classroom at Mader Southeast was the location for the Central Florida Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) November luncheon. The monthly event featured a presentation from Ogletree Deakins attorney Phillip Russell while providing an opportunity for local occupational safety leaders to connect over a catered lunch from 4 Rivers Smokehouse. Attorney Russell (always an insightful and exceptional speaker) provided an update titled ā€˜OSHA in 2025: Change, Continuity, and What It Means for You’. In addition to the camaraderie and outstanding content, the luncheon provided an opportunity for three local leaders to be inducted into the Central Florida Construction Safety Hall of Fame. Adding to the HOF Class of 2025 were PCL Construction Services Safety Manager Brandon Allen, Balfour Beatty US Senior SHE Manager Eric Garcia and GCI / Greater Orlando Aviation Authority: Orlando International (MCO) and Executive (ORL) Airports Safety Director Doni Denning. Also in attendance were ABC of Central Florida President/CEO Michele Daugherty and incoming ABC Board Chair and founder of iBuild Central Florida Debbie Rodriguez. Consequently, the Mader hosted lunch brought together leaders from multiple construction organizations for a focused discussion on promoting occupational safety.

SERVING WITH SMILES & ICE CREAM! The Mader team loved returning to the Orlando Union Rescue Mission Family Home to serve lunch and ice cream to the families. Sharing a meal, a smile, and a little joy is what community is all about. Just a simple way to say, ā€œWe see you, we care, and we’re here for you.ā€ The Mission’s Family home exists to remove the financial burden of parents and single women experiencing homelessness and equips them with the tools needed to achieve a life of self-sufficiency. We’re grateful to the Rescue Mission for the vital work they do every day, and Mader Southeast is proud to play even a small part in spreading hope and encouragement. The event maintained Mader’s history of making a difference in the community and was led by CEO/President Adam Eckelbarger and included team members Jake Rubio, Melody Sivri, Kyle Reed, Josh Williamson, Mike Garcia, Randy Ramer, Leah Caldwell, Adien Diaz, Jeff Shepherd, Christopher Robertson, Donald Adams, Jim Rupp and Timothy Bernardi. CELEBRATING SAFETY CHAMPIONS! On Thursday, May 29th, the ABC of Central Florida held its inaugural Safety Champions Conference at the Marriott Orlando Downtown convention center. By all accounts the program was a resounding success! The conference was created and developed by ABC CEO/President Michele Daugherty and Mader Southeast Safety Director Timothy Bernardi. The result of their efforts drew more than 200 Central Florida construction leaders, who came together for a full day of collaboration and education. Tim and Michele’s efforts were supported by the ABC Safety Council as well as Safety & Total Human Health Director Stephanie Kress, Barton Malow Safety Manager Kelton Oberle and Mader Southeast Senior Safety Manager Brady Proctor. In addition to promoting and coordinating the event, Mader sponsored the program’s keynote speaker Emily Elrod. There were presentations, time with vendors/sponsors and networking opportunities, finishing with awards given for excellence in safety management. Mader Safety & Training Manager Carmen Rodriguez was on hand to accept a Platinum Level ABC STEP Award for our company’s safety program. Brady also stepped behind the podium to announce two of the newest inductees to the Central Florida Construction Safety Hall of Fame – Mr. Chris Diaz (Balfour Beatty) and Mr. Freddie Mobley (Coastal) construction. Team Mader is proud to have been a part of the Safety Champions Conference, and we look forward to the next program in 2026.
