Went over to change out a package unit and it looked like a pretty straightforward change out. After we took the unit out I realized underneath the house they used interior ductwork and attached pieces of exterior duct to the end and just stuck it out through the wall so it look like it was done correctly 🤦.
It has been like this for a while but with putting a new unit in I wanted to make sure it was done right so the quickie I signed up for turned into a full-fledged relationship.
Doing a little extra work that nobody sees always seems to pay off for me because this morning I got a thank you message from the homeowner and then he took me out to eat.
Winner winner chicken breakfast....🤔.....breakfast-inner.......brinner maybe. I can rhyme but I can sure eat. Both of those plates in the picture are mine....bwahahahaha!!

ATTENTION NEST THERMOSTAT USERS:
As of October 25, 2025 you will no longer be able to use nest generation 1 and generation 2 thermostats. They will be discontinuing them for use on the application and any online features.

The insurance company gave her the money towards the outdoor unit getting changed out but not the indoor. I got pics of the indoor and you can see we needed both so luckily, I was able to make the numbers work. Was able to get her a new 2 1/2-ton system indoor and out,
Full crew on this one, I even had my dad out there to crack the whip on him.....a little childhood payback 🤣

The homeowner had a unit that was 28 years old and after being limped along for as long as she could it was time for a change to the new prestigious A2L system.
It's a rental property and I was able to get the homeowner a great deal on the unit. I even changed out some duct with some new stuff I had lying around with no charge, and I was even able to cut down the rusted out old storm collar and make one to fit the new unit nicely.
Super happy I was able to help this woman out.

I thought I was getting better about pictures but clearly I am not. So I got a call about a unit and when I arrived I found a start capacitor was blown to smithereens (typing that made me really happy. What a fun word, smithereens lol). Anyway I threw on a new hard start kit and nothing so I checked the compressor and she died on us. The warranty was expired literally by months so after reviewing some options and pricing we put this big 3 ton in....smithereens lol
