Thought it would cool to show something a little different than we usually do.

These were custom floors I built and put into a car. Then a gentleman brought in his 40's ford and wanted me to make it more enjoyable to drive.

So I ripped the motor out, and cut that old junk front end off and built this custom independent front suspension set up with rack and pinion steering. Night and day difference thats for sure!

getting some build time on this bad ass underground mechanics rail car.

getting a new frame built and sub frame for the tool boxes and work table. will be building a few of these for a local mine. will be a big help for the mechanics to service and repair the rail cars. can't wait to show the final product next week! 🤘🤘

on those long days where im tired and feel like just saying f**k it.

I sit down and look at this design of my dream shop. I had a insanely vivid dream where I was here and building a place where fabricators could push their skills and love coming to work building trucks for smaller fire departments to help keep them safe while they risk their lives fighting fire and saving other people and their property.

never wanted anything more in my life than to create something like this that impacts so many families for generations.

well time to shut up and get back to work!!!

first job i get to bust out the mag testing yoke. there is definitely alot of learning to do still. but everyjob I will learn new techniques and things to look for.

every structural weld that comes out of this shop will be mag tested or dye pinned to ensure quality is never the question.

when starting your business no matter the trade the first year is always exciting. but can you stay that excited in the years 3 to 10? thats the years people often give up. it consumes your entire life.

I wake up everyday wondering if I should keep going. its a roller coaster each week has its upside and downs. there will be more downs than ups. but look at those who gritted their teeth and pushed through. they are where you want to be.

so lets nut up and keep pushing! we have a legacy to build sucka!

Little shop update! We are pushing the quality coming out of dirty bird fab. By implementing a rock solid q.c program early.

Lots of the smaller shops dont do much for q.c and as a small shop I wanted the same q.c quality you get from the big fabrication shops. As we won't be a small time fabrication shop for long.

We all see welds that look nice but sometimes those welds can be deceiving. At dbf we will not take the risk and rely on a visual good enough welding.

And in 2027 we will be a aws cwi certified shop just to again take it further.

Every weld will be done by a minimum of a aws d1.1 certified welder and documented in tje q.c packet.

Is it to much for a small shop? Yes thats why we are doing it.

We now have rental units available! I have 1 single skid and a trailer set up for rental. We also will have a kubota utv with a fire setup for rent as well very soon!

Im currently working on a fully built out brush trucks as rentalas well stay tuned for those!!
