There truly is something very, very special about these first flights. It’s a rite of passage that starts with us jumping into multiple vehicles and making our way to the best vantage point to see the takeoff. Excited anticipation and big grins spread across many, many faces in our team as we watch the aircraft climb into the sky and the gear retract. Another BT-67 is taking flight.

It’s really cool to stand in this small, elite crowd and hear someone say, “I worked on” about whatever they did work on - with big smiles on their faces. Our team is special. These moments are special. We wish many, many happy landings for #71 and her crews as she ventures out into the world.

🎉Did you know that today, March 6, 2024, is That's All, Brother's 80th Birthday? We're proud to help share the history of this incredible aircraft. 🎉

After rolling off the production line in February 1944, the aircraft was delivered to the U.S. military on March 6th. In April of the same year, the aircraft arrived in the U.K., initially for service with the 8th Air Force, before being transferred to the 9th Air Force for service with the 87th Troop Carrier Squadron of the 438th Troop Carrier Group, based at RAF Greenham Common. Her crew nicknamed her That's All, Brother. This aircraft was pivotal in the D-Day invasion, leading the main airborne invasion and dropping paratroopers into Normandy.

As we prepare to embark on the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day tour, we are grateful for your support of our mission!

Today we celebrate the 120th anniversary of man’s first successful powered flight. Just 32 years after that, on the same date in 1935, the first flight of the DC-3.

Happy 88th birthday to the DC-3 - around for 88 of those 120 years. WOW! We’re happy to keep them flying!
