As a new school year begins, the Ohio Governor and Lt. Gov issued this Proclamation to declare August 2026 as "Children's Vision and Learning Month."
'''Whereas, traditional eye exams will not diagnose the problems ...
Beginning my 41st year of behavioral, functional optometric vision care, I continue to be dedicated to diagnose the neurological and physiological deficits which undergird the problems which the struggling child experiences. I do not traumatize the youngster and I will not put drops in their eyes which blurs their vision and paralyzes their oculomotor functions.
I do not "cut corners" but will take the time to diagnose and discuss the therapeutic care which I offer: simple lenses, maybe bifocals (yes, for kids!) and / or prisms. Often, children advance significantly with rehabilitative remedation and care to actively normalize their deficits.
Our practice is time-honored to provide efficacious therapeutic treatment modalities. My staff (Mariah and Tara) and I are well aware: "Where there is Good Vision, the Kids Sit Still" by "Helping the Struggling Child, one-at-a-time, to Achieve Successes at home, in the classroom, in the athletic realm and in life."
"Helping the child, who is sometimes unruly, to focus, attend and sit still without (or tapering-off) the pharmaceutical intervention."
Intelligent individuals can (and often) have faulty control of their eyes and other visual disorders. Not every individual who has two eyes see one. Overwhelmingly, the children who are placed on the behavioral and psychotic pharmaceuticals simultaneously have (never previously detected nor diagnosed) double vision and / or other visuo-motor and visuo-sensory dysfunctions.
Please do not hesitate to seek a second opinion with us to assist the transformation of your wiggly child to achieve (previously unimaginable) successes with little-known (and rarely offered) behavioral and functional optometric care.
