Today, we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives while serving in the U.S military. Their courage, dedication, and commitment to something greater than themselves reflect the values that continue to guide us every day.
We’re proud to support veterans throughout our organization through the Veterans Employee Resource Group (VERG), helping foster connection, support, and shared purpose among those who have served.
Today, we pause to reflect, remember, and recognize the lasting impact of their service.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a reminder that mental health challenges are more common than many realize, and they are not always visible. Taking the time to recognize the signs, checking in with a colleague, or simply listening can make a meaningful difference.

Building a strong business starts with fostering a supportive workplace culture. By continuing the conversation and reducing stigma, we can help ensure that no one feels they have to face challenges alone.

From protecting the physical well-being of our teams to supporting mental health awareness and encouraging open conversations, we believe a strong safety culture means looking out for one another both on and off the jobsite.

When catastrophic flooding washed out the Cow Creek Bridge in Central Texas, we moved quickly to help restore access for the community.

Working alongside Texas Materials and TxDOT, our team supplied cement from our Hunter Plant to support an accelerated rebuild, reopening the bridge in just 29 days.

A strong example of partnership, rapid response, and keeping communities connected when it matters most.

We were pleased to host Representative Derek Schmidt (KS-2) at our Overland Park office in Kansas City for a fireside chat, alongside Brad Kinkeade, our Director of Public Policy & Regulatory Affairs.
The conversation focused on domestic cement production, infrastructure investment, and the policies shaping our industry. Opportunities like this help us stay connected to the issues that matter most to us and the communities we serve.

Cement and concrete are often used interchangeably, but they’re not the same.

Cement is the key ingredient. Concrete is the final product that shapes the world around us.

When combined with water, aggregates, and other materials, cement creates the strength and durability needed for everything from roads and bridges to buildings and infrastructure.

At Ash Grove, we produce the cement that helps make it all possible, supporting the projects communities rely on every day and laying the groundwork for what’s next.

We are proud to support Houston’s Surface Water Supply Project where we will be providing approximately 10,000 tons of Portland Limestone Cement, to construct the 55 miles of pipeline, tunnels and two pump stations.

As one of the fastest-growing regions in the United States, Greater Houston presents an urgency to maintain and expand its public infrastructure. The project, which is expected to take several years, will transport surface water from Lake Houston to the City’s Northeast Water Purification Plant, and will also expand the Purification Plant.

Once complete, it will help secure Houston’s water future and reduce environmental impact for generations to come.
