πŸŽ‰ Congratulations to Dr. Yuan Yao, 2026 ISES Young Investigator Meeting Award Winner!

Join us on September 10 at 9:00 AM Eastern for an engaging webinar:

🌎 Emerging Air Pollution Exposures in a Changing Climate and Energy Landscape

Air pollution and climate change are closely interconnected, and the energy transition presents an important opportunity to address both while improving public health.

Dr. Yao will highlight recent research on the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires and electric vehicle fast-charging stations, exploring how climate-related disasters and clean-energy infrastructure may introduce unintended air quality concerns. Her work underscores the importance of integrating air quality and public health into climate adaptation and energy-transition efforts.

Dr. Yao is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. She received her Ph.D. in Environment and Health from Peking University. Her research focuses on air pollution, climate change, and human health, including wildfire smoke exposure, non-exhaust emissions, and community-engaged environmental health research.
