This past Wednesday, we had the pleasure of welcoming the 3rd grade class from Kingsbury Country Day School to Koenig Materials for a field trip focused on the aggregates industry and the important role it plays in our everyday lives and local economy.
Students had the opportunity to learn where materials like sand and stone come from, how they are produced, and how they help build the roads, homes, schools, and infrastructure we use every day. We enjoyed showing them around the site and answering all of their great questions.
Each student also received a complimentary rock box provided by Michigan Aggregates Association to help continue their learning experience beyond the classroom.
We appreciate Kingsbury Country Day School for visiting us and helping introduce the next generation to the importance of our industry!
