A big shoutout to our Manufacturing Manager, Tim Holley, for representing Associated MetalCast today at the Alabama Community College System’s Workforce Exchange in Birmingham!

Tim had the opportunity to sit on a panel alongside other industry and education leaders to discuss the importance of strong partnerships between manufacturers, community colleges, and our future workforce.

We’re proud to have Tim representing AMI and sharing his experience as conversations continue around work-based learning, dual enrollment, and building a stronger workforce right here in Alabama.

Thursday, August 27th, was truly a day to remember for Associated Metalcast!

We celebrated the official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for our new McIntosh facility, surrounded by customers, vendors, city officials, employees, and friends who joined us in marking this exciting milestone.

While the opening of our new facility was certainly worth celebrating, the day was made even more special as we honored the man who helped make it all possible—our founder, Ron Douglas.

Ron founded AMI in 1998, and we are incredibly grateful for his vision, leadership, hard work, and dedication over the years. The company we are today is a reflection of the foundation he built and the legacy he continues to leave.

During the ceremony, we had the privilege of recognizing Ron with a customized plaque and a very special surprise—a street sign bearing the name Ron A. Douglas, in honor of the road at our McIntosh facility that will be renamed for him.

As we celebrate this exciting new chapter for AMI, we are also proud to honor the history that brought us here. Thank you, Ron, for everything you have done to build Associated Metalcast and help shape it into the company it is today.

Here’s to honoring our past, celebrating our growth, and looking forward to an exciting future at AMI!
