My boys & I cannot begin to adequately express how much you have all meant to us during this unimaginable time in our lives.
So many of you said you had no words, but you gave -and continue to give- us so much. And please know & believe that whatever you said or did is exactly what we needed. Your love came to us in your look, your tears, your amazing hugs, your prayers, your texts, calls & messages. You brought food & drink, sent gifts & cards & stopped in for a visit.

Perhaps the greatest gift of this past week was that you shared with us who John "Jay" "The King" was to you & what he meant to each of you.
No matter how long you've known someone or how close you are to them, there is always another side, another relationship, another expression of themselves they shared with others that you were not privy to. I am so happy he gave a part of himself to so many & I hope his spirit & memories, the sound of his voice & the smile on his face stay with you for a very long time.

I'm so sorry if I didn't get to talk to you personally at the funeral or the church. There were so many of you and I wish we had more time. And although I've read each one, I haven't been able to respond to all of your comments & messages. I know we will have time in the future to talk & visit & share memories. I am confident that everyone was comfortable 😉 at Modetz. They've been one of Comfort King's valued customers for the past 7 years - and so you see 'The King' continues to take good care of all of us!

The picture is of a plaque he kept on his desk at home that he often told people about. He would say that praying these words & believing in them was how he got thru a difficult day - usually a work day I think. It now may very well become a family prayer to help us navigate this life & world without his physical presence.

The following sentiment came in one of the many cards you sent & is so very true. It reads-
'A life is a continuous thread. It weaves itself through love and memory and remains a part of everyone it has touched.'
And I would add that it ties us all together forever in big ways and in small with a common bond that nothing can separate.

Thank you for loving my husband.
Please continue to pray for his eternal soul.

It is with very sad & sorrowful hearts that we –the family of John Rapanotti– who many of you affectionately called ‘The King’ went home to our Lord Wednesday, June 8, 2022.

We know he meant a lot to so many of you & you meant a lot to him as well. More than you know. He truly loved what he did for a living. He loved serving all of you—the communities of Oxford & Orion & well beyond. He loved getting to know you & becoming friends with so many other fellow business owners in this community where he lived, worked & served. We as a family are so grateful to all of you for supporting us these past 18 years.

John was also your ‘go-to guy’ when you needed a recommendation for another tradesman like plumbers, electricians, etc. And yep—he knew all the good ones 🙂. And he also recommended his other HVAC friends when someone needed help that he couldn’t get to because of distance or just when he was ‘busier than a one armed wallpaper hanger’ (as he used to often say).
He enjoyed networking with you, partying with you, spending time talking with you & supporting you as well. Most of all he wanted to be a good friend to you.

There can never be enough said about the life of any one person & we, in this short amount of space & time, could never say enough about who this man is & what he has meant to us in this life.
You all knew & loved him in your own unique ways & we are so very sorry for the hurt & loss & heartache you are experiencing. John was a great man of faith and his ultimate goal in life was to be a good husband, father & man & earn his way to heaven. We enjoyed studying our faith together as a couple & a family & our strong belief in a God who loves us will get us through whatever is ahead of us. The St Joe’s church community has been hugely instrumental in guiding us in that journey & I know John (Jay as I and many friends call him) would agree whole heartedly that we will be forever grateful for that. We take comfort in knowing where his journey beyond this life is taking him & we pray that very soon he will be in the loving arms of his heavenly father who will say to him - Dear son, you have done well. Welcome home. You are where you belong. Rest. Everything will be alright now.

We love you all & we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of John’s life. & a part of ours ♄
RenĂ©e (his queen 😉) John III, Jake & Jesse
