Check out how we made these vent covers out of 3/16” 6061. First we cut a flat blank, the wet grained to spec then machined the features. Parts turned out great with many more to go!

These parts are very simple yet without some experience can be troublesome. 1/4” 6061 plate with a 1.5” tube welded in the center. Typically when welding in the center on a plate like this, it would dish toward the side of most heat input. With proper fixturing and weld technique, 200 of these parts came out flawless.
