A special thank you to West Washington School Corporation, Keith Nance, and our outstanding project partners Calhoun Construction Services, Palmer Roofing, SolarStrap Technologies, and Midwest Helicopter Airways, Inc. for helping bring this vision to life. Great projects are built through great partnerships.

With on-site solar generation, West Washington can reduce its reliance on purchased electricity, support long-term energy cost savings, and put more resources toward what matters most: its students and school community.

☀️ 🦋Now That’s a Before and After!

What began as an old school building has been transformed into a beautiful solar array at Forest Hills. And the project’s impact goes beyond solar energy!

The pollinator habitat installation is being completed this week, adding another environmental benefit to the site.

A special shoutout to the Paducah Innovation Hub for developing public information signage for the site. These signs will help visitors understand how the solar array works, the energy benefits it provides, and the important role the surrounding pollinator habitat can play. We appreciate their work to make this information accessible and help the public better understand the positive impact of renewable energy and pollinator-friendly spaces.

We’re proud to see this site take on a new purpose and grateful to everyone helping make it a positive addition to the community!

Project Update: Paducah Convention Center 🎤

One more project is complete at the Paducah Convention Center! The audio and visual upgrades are now fully operational, adding new capabilities to support the venue’s meetings, events, and gatherings.

This phase included new video projectors, ceiling speakers, wireless microphones, and touchscreen controls throughout the River Rooms. The flexible system allows rooms to operate independently or combine into a larger space with shared audio and video. Background music and paging capabilities were also added in designated areas of the facility.

This is one of several projects supporting improvements at the Paducah Convention Center, and we’re proud to play a part in helping the facility better serve its community.

🏗️ Webster County Project Complete!

We’re excited to share that our Webster County, Kentucky project officially wrapped up this month!

The work included HVAC upgrades and door replacements at the courthouse, LED lighting upgrades across multiple county facilities, and manhole lining throughout the county.

From improving energy efficiency to supporting essential public infrastructure, this project brought a range of improvements to the facilities Webster County relies on every day.

A special shout-out to Triangle Heating & Cooling for their help with the HVAC upgrades, and thank you to Webster County for the opportunity to be part of these improvements. We’re proud to see this project across the finish line!

Carroll County Courthouse Clock Tower Update!

The clock hands are turning, and we’re getting close to the finish line! 🕰️

The latest footage from Buildcam gives us one of our last glimpses of the Carroll County Courthouse clock tower before the project wraps up. With the ribbon cutting set for November 10, it’s exciting to see this historic landmark coming back to life.

It’s been such a lovely journey watching this restoration take shape and sharing the progress along the way. We’re looking forward to celebrating with all our history-loving and energy-saving friends and sharing more updates when the project is complete!

We’re proud to have played a part in preserving a piece of Carroll County history alongside Stanton Millworks and Trade31.

Great project management is about more than keeping projects on schedule. It’s about building strong processes, developing people, and paying attention to the details that set projects up for long-term success.

As AFP’s Director of Project Management, Ryan brings all of that to the table and more. Beyond leading his own projects, he plays an important role in mentoring teammates and developing the tools and processes that help us manage risk, execute with confidence, and deliver successful outcomes for our customers.

Good conversations and valuable insights at the NAESCO - National Association of Energy Service Companies Regional Meeting in Louisville! 👏

Ryan Baker and Russ Litsinger attended the NAESCO Louisville Regional Meeting this week, connecting with industry colleagues and hearing updates on the energy landscape across Kentucky and beyond.

The meeting included insights from Kenya Stump and Hailey Mullins with the Kentucky Office of Energy Policy on energy resource management, regional energy trends, and the evolving relationship between public policy, utilities, and industry.

The NAESCO executive team also shared updates on market and legislative trends, followed by opportunities to exchange ideas and participate in market evaluation discussions with others in the industry.

Thanks to NAESCO and everyone who made the meeting a valuable experience!
