We are aware of a transmission outage from our Beverly substation impacting customers from Beverly to Trenton and all the way to Benkelman.

Everyone knows the saying, "Know what's below. Call 811 before you dig."

But did you know that 811 doesn't mark everything?

811 only marks public utilities. Private utilities such as sprinkler systems, private septic systems, or even a line running from your house to a detached garage, will not be included in their locate. If you have anything like those, you will need to hire a private utility locator.

Be sure to discuss what you may have in the area you plan to dig with your 811 Customer Service Representative so you know what will, and won't, be covered.

SWPPD has partnered with Inner-Pole Testing to test poles on our Culbertson substation. Crews will begin testing near McCook and will work west. They will be in or on the vehicles pictured in this post. Where possible, the vehicles will have SWPPD magnets. Crews will also be wearing high visibility vests. Inner-Pole is expected to be on our system for approximately 10 days. If you have any questions, please contact our office at (308)285-3295.

We are aware of an outage affecting the north circuit of our Hayes Center substation. The affected area starts at Hayes Center and proceeds north to the edge of our service territory. Crews are currently on scene working to resolve the issue. Updates will be added to the comments section of this post as they become available.
