😳 This is what Florida air can do to your A/C system.

Take a close look at this condenser coil.

That white, crusty buildup and corrosion isn’t dirt… it’s the result of years of salt, humidity, and coastal air attacking the metal. Over time, it literally starts eating away at the coil.

When this happens, your system has to work harder and harder to cool your home.
Eventually it can lead to:

❌ Poor cooling
❌ Higher electric bills
❌ Refrigerant leaks
❌ Complete system failure

Most homeowners never see this happening inside their unit until the A/C suddenly stops working.

💡 Regular maintenance and coil cleaning can slow this process down and help extend the life of your system.

Florida A/C systems fight a tough battle every day — especially near the coast.

👇 Have you ever looked inside your outdoor unit before?

❄️ Just a glimpse of what keeping our community cool looks like.

In Florida, air conditioning systems work hard year-round. When equipment reaches the end of its service life, replacing it with modern, high-efficiency systems helps restore reliable cooling and comfort.

Our team has been busy installing new systems designed to handle Florida’s heat and humidity so our community can stay comfortable when temperatures climb.

🇺🇸 The units pictured here were installed for a local military housing community. We’re proud to be dedicated to keeping our service men and women comfortable at home.

🔧 A lot of hard work goes into projects like these, and our team takes pride in delivering dependable comfort every day.

💙 Thank you to our community for trusting Williams Air & Heat.

🛡️ IS YOUR A/C UNIT SECURE? 🛡️
We recently walked onto this scene at a local Palm Bay business, and it’s a gut punch. Thieves stripped these units down to the frame just for a few bucks' worth of copper, leaving the owner with a bill for thousands in replacements.

At Williams Air and Heat, we want to help you protect your property so you aren't the next target. Here are our top professional security tips for your HVAC system:

1. Install a Steel Security Cage 🔒
This is the #1 deterrent. Most copper thefts are "smash and grab" jobs that take less than 10 minutes. A heavy-duty steel cage, bolted directly into the concrete pad, makes the job too loud and too slow. Most thieves will simply move on to an easier target rather than risk getting caught.

2. Light Up the Night 💡
Thieves love the dark. Installing motion-sensor LED floodlights around your units is a low-cost way to make your equipment a high-risk target. If they can’t work in the shadows, they usually won't work at all.

3. Clear the Perimeter 🌿
Don't give them a place to hide! Keep bushes trimmed and debris away from your units. High visibility from the street or neighboring buildings is your best friend when it comes to deterring criminals.

Don’t wait until you’re left in the Florida heat. ☀️

If you’re worried about your home or business units, give us a call. We can assess your setup and discuss professional installation for custom-fit security cages.
And as always, follow our page for tips on protecting your AC equipment!

❄️ Not snow… this is inside an A/C system in Palm Bay.

This evaporator coil froze solid.

And when this happens, your A/C usually stops cooling your home completely.

Most homeowners don’t realize it until the house starts getting warmer… while the system keeps running.

⚠️ The big question is…

Do you know what usually causes this?

Drop your guess in the comments 👇

🚨 Honest question for homeowners…

If your A/C technician said your system needed $2,500 in repairs, what would you do?

A) Repair it
B) Replace the system
C) Get a second opinion

There’s no wrong answer — every situation is different.

But here’s something most homeowners don’t realize:

Sometimes a repair really is the best option.
Sometimes replacement makes more financial sense.

That’s why Williams Air & Heat offers FREE second opinions.

👉 If another company gave you an estimate, show us the quote and we’ll take a look.

Sometimes we confirm it.
Sometimes we save homeowners thousands of dollars.

👇 Comment A, B, or C — we’re curious what most homeowners would do.

💧 This is a GOOD sign!

When your air conditioner is running properly, you should see water dripping from the condensate drain line outside. That drip means your system is removing humidity from the air inside your home — exactly what it’s designed to do here in Florida.

In our climate, A/C systems don’t just cool the air… they also pull moisture out of it, and that water has to drain somewhere.

✅ Drip = system removing humidity
✅ Drain line doing its job
✅ Your home staying comfortable

If you stop seeing the drip, notice water backing up, or see water around your indoor unit, it could mean the drain line is clogged and needs attention.

Keeping that line clear is a simple but important part of maintaining your system.

🌀 This fan blade has seen better days…

The condenser fan blade plays an important role in your air conditioning system. Its job is to pull air through the condenser coil and help remove heat from the refrigerant so your home stays cool.

When a fan blade becomes bent, cracked, or damaged, it can cause the fan to wobble, create vibration, and put extra strain on the motor. Over time, that imbalance can lead to motor failure and costly repairs if it isn’t caught early.

Our technician spotted this during a service visit and recommended replacing the blade to restore proper airflow and protect the rest of the system.

🔧 Sometimes it’s the simple components that make the biggest difference in keeping your A/C running reliably in the Florida heat.

👀 Do you know what this bubble means?

🚨 Most homeowners never see this…

That tiny bubble forming on the copper tube is refrigerant leaking from an evaporator coil.

This leak is coming from a capillary tube connection inside the coil. Even a small leak like this allows refrigerant and oil to slowly escape from the system.

As refrigerant levels drop, homeowners may start to notice:

❄️ The A/C running longer than normal
❄️ Ice forming on the system
❄️ Higher energy bills
❄️ Poor cooling inside the home

Our technicians diagnose issues like this every day while helping keep homes across our community comfortable in the Florida heat.

🔧 Sometimes problems are easy to see. Other times it takes experience to find the real cause.

💬 Before reading this post… did you know what that bubble meant?

03/17/2026

🔊 Turn your sound on… do you hear that?

That hissing sound in the video is refrigerant escaping from an A/C system.

Our technician traced it to a leak in the copper refrigerant tubing, which means the system was slowly losing the refrigerant it needs to cool the home properly.

Most homeowners never realize this is happening until the system stops cooling well, the electric bill jumps, or the equipment begins to fail.

What starts as a small leak can eventually lead to:

❄️ Poor cooling
⚡ Higher energy bills
🔧 Expensive system damage

In this case, we were able to pinpoint the leak quickly and start the repair process to restore the system.

👂 Sometimes HVAC problems show up on gauges…
👂 Sometimes you can actually hear them happening.

If your system sounds unusual or isn’t cooling like it should, it’s worth having it checked before a small issue turns into a major repair.

📸 HVAC Throwback! Let’s Play “Guess the Age”

One of our technicians came across this Rheem air handler data tag on service call last week… and it’s a blast from the past. 👀

This unit is VERY old — but like many systems from this era, it was built like a tank. 💪

Back then, equipment was simple, rugged, and designed to last. And this one has clearly put in decades of work keeping someone comfortable.

It’s also running on R-22 refrigerant, which has been obsolete and phased out for several years now. That means:
• Refrigerant is expensive and harder to find
• Parts can be difficult to source
• Efficiency is far behind today’s systems

But somehow… this old tank is still out there doing its job.

❓ Now the fun part… how old do YOU think this unit is?

Drop your guess in the comments! ⬇️
Closest guess gets bragging rights.

Hint:
This system was manufactured before many of today’s HVAC technicians were even born. 😳

We’ll reveal the real age tomorrow!
