Today on "We the People" celebrate the formal adoption of the Constitution! The Constitution is the supreme law of the United States. This document protects us from power-hungry politicians and protects our God-given rights. I’ll always protect and defend our Constitution.

July 30, 1715 - A devastating hurricane struck a fleet of 11 ships sailing from Havana to Spain. It was so fierce that it pushed several ships up into the shallows just South of Sebastian Inlet and destroyed many. For those that miraculously survived, their ordeal was just starting. They were stranded. The land was infested with disease-carrying mosquitoes, snakes, wild animals, and hostile Indians. They were far from the nearest settlement (St. Augustine) without food, fresh water and badly needed medical supplies. As they made their way to shore they could only begin to comprehend what had happened to them and what was to come.

This drawing is one in a series we commissioned that will explore the singular event that claimed so many lives and centuries later gave birth to the Treasure Coast. You can see more of this story at the McLarty Treasure Museum just South of the Sebastian Inlet State Park at the location of the encampment carved out by the survivors. With storms approaching, it would be an excellent trip to stand on the same beaches with the wind and rain howling and imagine what it would have been like three hundred years ago. What would you have done?

Hey all, this is what our new building is going to look like in Malabar. Located on Malabar Road near US-1, we are happy to expand Wild Manta to Malabar. Our new research center will still be open to the public and will have a lot of the look and feel of our Babcock building which we loved so much. It is modern industrial and will be reminiscent of Edison, invention, and innovation. It's taken a while with COVID and construction prices being through the roof, but we are hoping to break ground this year and be done mid 2022.

We are excited about the 2 acres we recently purchased in Malabar next to the Banyan Estate that will house our new headquarters sometime in early to mid 2022. The town of Malabar has welcomed us with open arms. Working on new plans and we must say that we are as excited about this building as we were for the Babcock Street facility. We will be sharing some architectural renderings soon!
