Big Johnson Concrete Placement, LLC is a family-owned and operated provider of concrete placement services primarily in the form of truck-mounted concrete pumps.

We are seeking to add a Dispatcher to our team as we have continued to grow at an incredible pace. This team member is very important to the operations of our company as no one will interact more with our customers than this individual.

A successful dispatcher will possess the following attributes and skills;

Team-Oriented, working well with others
Capable of handling multiple lines and possessing a professional phone etiquette.
Reliable, with a strong work ethic who takes pride in their work.
Computer literate with proven proficiency in office and working knowledge of excel.
Proficient in problem solving and good with thinking on their feet, without becoming overwhelmed.
College degree
Preferably bilingual
Dispatchers are responsible for successfully taking orders from Job Supervisors, acquiring all of the necessary details in a timely and efficient manner, entering those orders into our proprietary software, calling previously taken orders to confirm, and then receiving customer calls throughout the day.

You will be responsible for 30 to 50 jobs daily. Monitoring crews and status of crews to ensure dispatching to the second and third pours of the day, provide crews with information about orders, traffic, obstacles, and requirements.

Concrete is one of the most perishable products in the world, and our equipment is some of the largest and most expensive to be on a construction site, attention to detail to ensure the proper coordination of our arrival, is critical to the success of every pour.

Be safe out there...

Jobsite Preparation & Protection Tips:
a. Give priority attention to those located in populated areas
b. Confirm batteries are reliable in all important equipment
and tools, including cell phones
c. Fill up gas tanks in work & personal vehicles
d. Take photos of valuables that cannot leave the job site
e. Clean up all construction debris
f. Tie or band together all loose plywood and lumber
g. Secure other loose building materials
h. Remove your permit board and all job site signage
i. Turn off electricity, water and gas
j. Push over portable toilets and secure them by placing
concrete blocks or sand inside.

60-48 Hours Prior to Landfall:
Postpone delivery of building materials to all jobsites except any you may need to secure a site from storm damage.

48-24 Hours Prior to Landfall:
a. Stop all construction activity
b. Activate your hurricane jobsite plan
c. Notify your subcontractors to help you secure the jobsite

Stay Safe.
Advise your subcontractors to leave and not return to the jobsite until the hurricane threat has passed.
