This month, we are featuring our Build Captain, Sidhant Vats.

Sidhant has been a dedicated member of our team since his freshman year. At lab, you can always find him working on the robot, keeping our 3D printers running around the clock, or diving into many side projects. As the Build Captain this year, he is managing the overall manufacturing of the robot and guiding the team through many challenges. He has devoted countless hours to overseeing and upgrading both robots for our upcoming competitions, and is ready to put in many more as build season kicks off. Sidhant, thank you for everything you’ve done for the team, and we can’t wait to see what you do next!

This month, we are featuring our Build Captain, Sidhant Vats ‼️

Sidhant has been a dedicated member of our team since his freshman year. Happy 8th of the month! This May, we’re excited to feature our Art Project Manager, Teresa Wang!
Teresa has been an integral part of our art team this year, bringing creativity and leadership to every project she takes on for Team 8. She created two full animatics for our animations this year, which made our transitions significantly smoother and helped to make the planning process far more organized and efficient. Animatics are a huge and time-consuming job, and we’re so grateful for the care and effort she put into them.
Teresa has also stepped up as a leader for our team, often leading art meetings and filling in whenever needed. Her reliability, positivity, and willingness to help have made a huge impact on the subteam.
Over the past two years, Teresa has played a big role in creating the friendly and close-knit community of the art team. We’re so grateful for her kindness and energy that have helped bring everyone closer together, making the team more productive, and supportive. Thank you for your hard work, Teresa! 💚

This eighth of the month, we’re excited to be featuring Samarth Karnam, our Human player and Electrical Lead!

Samarth has been an important and involved member of Team 8 since joining as a freshman, and has played a crucial role in this season’s success. Notably, Samarth is really hardworking and steadfast, so he’s always someone we can count on to jump in and help fix hard parts of the bot. As both ELead and our Human player, Samarth, is an integral part of our performance on and off the field at competition, a strong asset to our great success at Contra Costa. We’re so thankful for your commitment and spirit, Samarth, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of this build season will bring!
