Responsibilities:

• Operate, maintain, and possibly repair heavy equipment

• Safely operate heavy equipment in the on loading/offloading process
• Safely secure load to trailer(s) and assure weight is evenly distributed.
• Perform daily PM and safety checks
• Clean, maintain and secure company equipment, tools, etc.
• Abide by all health and safety requirements
• Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, exposure to all types of terrain, exposure to loud noise, fumes, odors, gasses, dust, etc. on a daily basis. Must be able to drive in a variety of terrains.
• Ability to remain focused in a busy environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills with co-workers and supervisors

DADCO Construction (License # 658283) wishes to thank ALL the participants of the 2025 Truck Light Parade for coming out for our Ridge Community. All reports back to us say that the quality of the entries this year was exceptional! We would like to thank the partner companies that have made this event happen by donating time, talent, space and materials. Thank you, Paradise PD, CalFire, Town of Paradise, EMT’s and V.I.P.S. for your participation and dedication to keep us all safe during the parade. Thank you to the Paradise Ridge Chamber of Commerce for their volunteers judging the entries. Thank you to all the volunteers who make this happen – you are the backbone of this event for our community! And finally THANK YOU for all the folks who line the parade route and cheered on the Truck Light Parade! THANK YOU also for everyone who donated food to the canned food drive! This is very much needed by the local food banks!

And now for the winners from last night (Photos will be posted on Monday due to technical difficulties) …

Long about 15 years ago, Rick McGregor (who has some family ties to DADCO), decided to get some friends with big truck together, throw some lights on their trucks and drive around Paradise. And the Truck Light Parade was born! Sadly, Ricky passed away this year. Ricky, we dedicate this Truck Light Parade to you!

Not to be out done by the big trucks, the small truck category has shown some amazing creativity, especially in the floats, trailers, and boats? Yes! Boats! I think this year was the first year with pyrotechnics!

Small Truck 3rd Place: Mark Ingersol

The most unusual and unique category in the parade is the “Other” category. Besides the usual razors, we have had golf carts, go-carts, we have even had a motorized bathtub! This year a tractor entered! Salute to all your ingenuity in putting lights on some crazy entries!

Other 3rd Place: Jeff Paull

Finally, the Better Luck Next Time Trophy. This category started when Wayne Kurtz had a horrible year and could not get the lights, sound – well, NOTHING to work on his golf cart! So, we decided we needed to recognize the effort that was put in but went nowhere. This year’s entry did not get one, single, vote. But we salute his spirit of good sportsmanship and effort in entering the parade.

Come rain or shine, the Annual Truck Parade of Lights and Canned Food Drive will be taking place again in Paradise CA on Saturday, December 6th, 2025. Parade starts between 6:15 and 6:30 PM.

For the safety of everyone, please watch the parade from the parade route: Trucks travel west on Pearson, past the Community Park, north on Skyway to the Shopping Center at 6848 Skyway. PLEASE NOTE: SKYWAY WILL BE CLOSED BETWEEN MAXWELL AND PEARSON AT 5:00 PM AS WELL AS SIDE STREETS. THE WESTBOUND LANE OF PEARSON, INCLUDING THE TURN LANE, WILL BE CLOSED AT 5:00 PM. Between 5:00 and 9:00 PM, please use Black Olive to Buschmann to Clark Rd, to go to upper Paradise and Magalia. For Southbound (downhill) traffic, use Maxwell to Elliott to Clark Rd to Buschmann Rd. Thank you for your understanding in making this event a safer experience for both participants in the parade and those watching.

Thomas Ace Hardware Parking Lot is for parade participants only. Please park on the street to view the parade entries or to drop off canned goods.
