BRRR it is cold! 🥶🥶🥶

Did you know that furnace loads in our region are set to heat for a regular winter day.. around 18 degrees. Anything below that extends run time of furnaces WHICH causes temperature lagging and overheating.

Last night the "feel like" temperature was -29 degrees. Your system is going to have a hard time keeping up with this weather.

Cranking your thermostat up is not going to help heat your home any faster or keep it any warmer. We STRONGLY recommend keeping your thermostat at a low temperature to not overload your furnace.

Stay warm and safe.

With the impending weather forecast for later this week, we want to touch up on vent safety. When the wind is blowing the snow around, drifting snow (ice build up as well) can plug up your furnace, water heater or dryer vent pipes. They other thing to watch out for is your gas meter. When your natural gas meter is covered with snow and ice, it can create a potentially dangerous situation. The melting snow from your roof or eaves can drip onto your meter possibly blocking the vent on your meters regulator. Keeping these areas clean help prevent a serious emergency. Stay safe everyone!
