Kitchen Remodel Update – Getting Close!

A week ago we showed you the beginning stages of this kitchen transformation. Since then, the cabinets are in, the farmhouse sink is installed, and this project is really starting to come together!

We’re now down to the final stretch. The countertops are on order, and once they’re installed we’ll be able to complete:

It’s always exciting when a project reaches this stage because the homeowner can finally see the vision come to life. The orange walls that once dominated the room are giving way to a completely updated, modern kitchen with new cabinetry, improved functionality, and a fresh new look.

Garage build update

Just a few days ago, this was nothing more than foundation and block work. Now the walls are standing, the framing is going up, and you can finally start to see this garage come to life.

This is one of my favorite stages of a project. Every day you show up, it looks completely different than it did the day before.

Huge credit to our crew for knocking this one out in the summer heat and keeping the project moving forward.

We’re not done yet—still plenty more to come before this garage is complete—but it’s exciting to see the vision becoming reality.

💩 SEWER BACKUP: DUPLEX: 0 💩

When the tenant says, “I think there’s a little issue with the plumbing…” and you walk in to discover the sewer system has chosen violence. 😳

Let’s just say this wasn’t the kind of flooring finish anyone ordered.

Our crew got called in to tackle this nasty sewer backup in a duplex. Between the contaminated water, damaged flooring, and smells that could knock a buzzard off a manure wagon, this one definitely earned a spot on the “you can’t make this stuff up” list.

The good news? We specialize in the jobs nobody else wants to touch. We’ll handle the cleanup, sanitization, demolition, drying, and restoration to get this property back to normal.

🚧 PROJECT UPDATE – WORK IN PROGRESS! 🚧

Our crew is hard at work on this exterior renovation in Marietta, Ohio! This home is receiving brand-new siding, new windows, and several exterior upgrades that are already making a huge difference.

The transformation is well underway, but we’re not finished yet. We wanted to give everyone a behind-the-scenes look at the progress so far. The new siding color, black window package, and updated exterior details are really starting to bring this project to life.

Today’s inspection didn’t go exactly as planned…

We arrived on site and found the newest member of the crew already hard at work supervising the project. Unfortunately, he refused to wear a hard hat, wouldn’t attend the safety meeting, and kept insisting the garage was being built on his property. 😂

After a brief negotiation, our “project manager” slithered off to inspect another area of the job site.

At Drake’s Construction & Restoration, we’re prepared for rotten wood, steep roofs, concrete pours, and apparently… surprise site inspectors. 🐍

No snakes were harmed, and construction is moving forward as scheduled!

Kitchen Transformation Underway!

Check out this kitchen remodel in progress! Our team carefully protected the home with floor coverings and dust containment barriers before demolition began. We removed the existing cabinets, countertops, backsplash, and wall finishes to give this space a fresh start.

As we opened the walls, we were able to inspect the framing, insulation, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure everything is ready for the next phase of construction. Taking the time to do the job right behind the walls is just as important as what you see when it’s finished.
