Extreme cold temperatures will continue through tomorrow, and we need your help! Associated Electric Cooperative, our wholesale power generator, is requesting members conserve energy due to extreme winter weather and maximum load on our electric grid. To help safeguard the grid, please conserve energy Thursday, Feb. 20 from 6 AM-10 AM by lowering your thermostat a few degrees and turning off any non-essential electric devices. We are excited to be putting on this year's event for Helping Hands North Kansas City! Everyone is invited, please bring any friends and family for any event or head out for the entire day, Saturday, October 5th!

This year, we will be donating our proceeds to the Bohi family, who lost Ariane Bohi this past July to cancer at the young age of 40. She dreamt of her two young kids (7-year-old girl, and 5-year-old boy) being able to continue attending Northland Christian Schools. All proceeds from the event will go towards their tuition. Derek Bohi, their father, is a Kansas City Police Officer and we want to help him as much as possible.

We have put together an amazing all-day event. Here are some of the activities that you can participate in:

-5K brought to you by Carter Robinson,
-5 Stand shooting competition put on by Ethan Smith and Alexis Smith
-Co****le tournament run by Jareth Nichols
-Pumpkin Painting for the kids provided by Lamborn Farm LLC
-20 minute PROFESSIONAL fireworks display at dusk by Jose Herrera (Bring your own lawn chair!)
-Hay rides from 3-6 pm provided by Bryan Ballard, owner of Tallgrass Land Management LLC
-LIVE CONCERT featuring Noe Palma and Travis Marvin
-Bounce Houses and kids games
-Food Truck provided by Powerhouse Food
-Beer Garden

Whatever you are looking for this October 5th, we can guarantee you can find it at this event! We are excited to have a fun day full of amazing food, multiple events, an awesome fireworks show, and ending the night with some outstanding concerts!
