Last week, Wallingford Mayor Vinny Cervoni; Economic Development Commission members Don Crouch and Nicholas Lombardi; and Director of Public Utilities Rick Hendershot visited our Roehm Innovation Center in Wallingford, CT for a tour of our advanced research and development facility.

The discussions with town leadership were engaging and productive, reinforcing the strong partnership between Roehm and the local community.

We deeply appreciate the Town of Wallingford’s recognition of our contributions to regional economic growth and technological advancement. We remain steadfast in our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our customers and actively contributing to our community!💛

🎨 Meet Aaron – a passionate and talented portrait artist

Aaron, a customer service specialist in Parsippany, NJ, has been drawing since he could hold a pencil. Inspired by his older sister, he discovered his passion for art early on—and never stopped. Today, he paints nearly every day, creating powerful portraits of icons like Martin Luther King Jr. and Billie Holiday, as well as everyday people.

“95% of my work is portraiture. I love bringing people to life,” he says. Using acrylics and light-rich reference photos, Aaron builds each piece layer by layer until the face feels alive.

He exhibits his work in several shows each year and often listens in anonymously to hear how people respond: “I love feedback—I want to know how it makes people feel.”

For over 20 years, Aaron has also mentored young artists through ACT-SO, supporting hundreds of students in their creative journeys. “I always let them know how proud I am.”

Earlier this week, the Roehm America Corporation in invited Avenues in Motion to participate in their annual Safety Day. Roehm empowers employees to pay attention to safety both in and outside of the workplace.

With this concept of shared responsibility in mind, we gave an interactive presentation about the NJ Safe Passing Law, the NJ Move Over Law, Distracted Driving, and E-mobility.

Colleagues at our Wallingford, CT site recently celebrated 13 years of commitment to supporting various local emergency response departments. 🚒🚑 In early February, those involved gathered once again to strengthen camaraderie 🤝 and to acknowledge the continued efforts within the community.

Roehm's longstanding commitment to supporting individuals who prepare for, respond to, and manage medical emergencies in the Wallingford community began in recognition of the local efforts during Superstorm Sandy. Our Wallingford team takes great pride in continuing this initiative today, as these efforts strengthen our operations while enhancing the safety and resilience of the Wallingford community. 💪🏽Way to go! 🎉👏

Our colleague Markus, a safety officer in production in Worms, has been a member of the DLRG (German Life Saving Association) since 1999 and has served for many years as deputy leader of the rescue dog team in Lampertheim. This rescue dog team is unique in state of Hesse: it trains dogs to locate missing persons not only on land but also in the water – a truly life-saving skill. 🌊🐕

His loyal companion, an Australian Shepherd named Sandy, has recently entered a well-deserved retirement but continues to help train young rescue dogs. 🐶❤️

Dogs like Sandy are indispensable for water rescues – they can detect people at depths of up to 50 meters. Markus, who is also a certified trainer for rescue dogs, works with great dedication to ensure these teams are always ready for action. 🚤
