The Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill - Using OasisPlus to Test Our Earthquake Response!

Today at 10:15am, the Kinemetrics, Inc. Team used our OasisPlus Earthquake Response Platform during the Great ShakeOut drill. We performed a full-scale drill with Earthquake Early Warning alerts leveraging our integration of ShakeAlert to simulate our buildings shaking, we ran a simultaneous test of our on-site building monitoring instrumentation that makes up the hardware portion of our OasisPlus system.

We were able to test early warning alerts, building impact level alerts from our sensors, SAFE Reports, occupant check-ins, safety checks, and much more!

OasisPlus is a technology platform designed to provide the tools and information you need before, during, and after an earthquake to minimize impact and ensure an effective emergency response.

Just like last year, we’ll be posting more detailed information about our drill and the information the OasisPlus Platform provided us later today and throughout the rest of the week, but take a look at these images of the early warning messages and SAFE Report to begin with!

Exploring careers in seismology beyond academia?

Kinemetrics is proud to participate in the AGU Seismology Section: Industry Career Panel on October 22, 2026.
