Position Summary:
Under general direction responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment by performing routine cleaning and maintenance of restrooms, shops, yards and conex areas of Pasco Machine. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, restocking the shop, making deliveries, unloading and loading trucks and picking-up parts as directed.
Essential Duties
• Unload delivery trucks, pick-up parts and materials, and make deliveries as requested.
• Responsible for ensuring all restrooms, shop and yard areas are well maintained, routinely cleaned and stocked with needed supplies.
• Responsible for pulling trucks out of the yard every morning and into the yard every evening and ensuring they have fuel and are ready for routine operational use.
• Ensure the shops are cleaned and well maintained by performing routine tasks such as dumping scrap bins, cleaning the conex area, organizing waterjet scraps, gathering shop rags, cleaning out saws, restocking parts and materials and ensuring dumpsters get cleaned out weekly.
• Assist crafts personnel by cutting materials as needed and helping with other tasks as requested.
• Perform routine machine maintenance such as oiling machines and changing saw blades.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory of parts and materials by weekly completing Inventory forms.
• Responsible for ensuring the buildings and gates are unlocked and ready for personnel each morning and locked, secured and safe each night after business hours.
• Other duties of a similar nature as requested.
Minimum Qualifications
Must pass a criminal background check. High School Diploma or GED.
Requires Licenses/Endorsements/Certifications
Valid Washington State Driver’s License with a clean driving record. Driving Abstract to be submitted with application for employment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must be able to read a tape measure and calipers. Strong customer service, problem solving and communication skills. Ability to be a self-starter and self-motivated. A team player that is able to work well with coworkers and leads by example.
Physical Requirements
To perform the essential functions of the job, a Maintenance and Parts Assistant must be able to perform the following:
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, fine motor dexterity, grasping, and seeing/observing; ability to walk and stand for long periods of time. Ability to work outdoors under adverse and varied weather conditions.
Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Pasco Machine is a fast-paced family owned and operated Machine Shop and Pump Repair Facility based in Southeastern WA. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Vertical Turbine Pump Repair Team. Duties and Qualifications include but are not limited to the following:

Duties

· Provide field service for removal and installation of pumps and electric motors

· Use mechanical aptitude to assess damage and diagnose possible problems with the pumping equipment

· Thoroughly fill out detailed inspection reports in electronic format

· Read and interpret schematics for assembly, repair, and reassembly

· Use hand tools to perform disassembly and reassembly of rotating equipment

· Use overhead crane to position components safely in a position for work to be performed

· Use gauges, calipers, and micrometers to measure work

· Perform quality assurance inspections of parts and completed assembly according to inspection report to ensure pump re-build is to specifications

· Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with customers and fellow team members

· Follow safety procedures to assure a clean and safe work environment is promoted and maintained

Qualifications

REQUIRED

· 3-5 years hands on experience of combined field and shop experience in service and repair of Vertical Turbine Pumps

· Knowledge of pump components and their function

· Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record, with no major traffic violations, suspensions, or DUIs in previous 3 years

· Able to lift up to 100 lbs. on a regular basis and work in industrial environments

· Available for rotating schedule of on-call and unscheduled overtime on evenings and weekends

PREFERRED

· Crane operation and rigging

· CDL Class A

Salary: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Position Summary
Under general direction procures, coordinates, oversees and monitors inventory of manufacturing and repair materials of Pasco Machine’s fabrication and pump shop departments.

Essential Duties
• Supervises the performance of Sweepers and Parts Runners (supervision includes training, performance coaching, work assignment and review, performance appraisal, hiring & termination responsibilities & promotional and pay rate change decisions with GM approval).
• Supervises the toolroom attendant.
• Identify, select and coordinate with vendors the purchase of materials and parts concerning machine & pump shops - at the discretion of machine and pump shop supervisors and salesmen.
• Negotiates and communicates with vendors to include but not limited to pricing, service, material quality, delivery targets, and resolve discrepancies and other related procurement issues that may arise.
• Provide information to other Pasco Machine personnel concerning product availability, quality or description.
• Communicate any supply chain problems which may impact manufacturing and / or repairs.
• Act as the liaison between vendors and relevant Pasco Machine departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities.
• Monitor procurement activities and advise company management on any issue(s) which present risk or opportunity.
• Establish new accounts with vendors as needed.
• Write Purchase and Work Orders as required and ensure appropriate general ledger (GL) codes are applied.
• Develop and maintain hard copy and electronic records to include but not limited to work orders, purchase orders, vendor documentation and other related information.
• Communicate professionally daily: verbal, telephone, electronic and written communication with customers, co-workers and vendors.
• Manage the pump repair process by organizing and maintaining a repair calendar and communicates with pump repair staff on timetable of repairs for on time delivery.
• Quote small pumps and scope of supply for customers.
• Ensure billing for small pumps is completed in a timely manner and is accurate.
• Design and order all Pasco machine merchandise (winter/spring.)
• Receive and confirm purchase orders from customers, deliver po’s to salesman.
• Pasco machine social media (Facebook and Instagram) take photos and post them once a week.
• Assist salesman in receiving vendor quotes.
• In coordination with SAW laborer keep inventory stocked both in the shop and the pump rack.
• Take in over the counter work if necessary, write up work order and tag in calendar.
• Assist in the shipping and receiving of parts and materials as needed
• Operate a variety of office equipment including personal computer, printer, calculator, facsimile, and copier; operate a vehicle to conduct work as required or necessary.
• Keep work area neat and clean and perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or its equivalent (G.E.D.) and three (3) or more years of increasingly responsible office experience in purchasing/buying environment; previous lead or supervisory experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience to provide enough evidence of the successful performance of the essential elements of the job such as those listed above. Must pass a criminal background investigation.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to a 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Position may require working outside of office such as in a warehouse and shop environment or in the yard while receiving freight and verifying inventory.
