We installed 2” polyiso insulation on the foundation walls to help reduce condensation and create a more comfortable, durable space.
The homeowner loved the result so much they set up their new space before we could take finished photos — always a good sign.

🎉 Big news from our team at Emak Construction 🎉

We’re excited to share that Emak has officially passed the PHIUS Certified Passive House Builder exam! This is a big milestone for us, and one we’ve been working toward for a while.

We’re ready to start applying what we’ve learned and move forward with building our first Passive House. High-performance building is something we truly believe in, and we’re proud to bring this level of efficiency and quality to our projects.

This past summer we took a 100-year-old house and made it super efficient — added exterior insulation, triple-pane windows, sealed it up tight, installed a ducted ERV for fresh air throughout, and installed a Mitsubishi ducted heat pump for ultra-efficient heating and cooling.

Now it’s cozy, quiet, and built to perform for the next century 🔋🌿
