Spurr Co. is looking for experienced heavy-equipment operators and a team of laborers to join our crew! Our jobsites are Prevailing Wage with some Private Sector.

Heavy-equipment operators must be able to operate all equipment in the civil construction industry to it's full potential (including, but not limited to: water truck, scraper, dozer, compactor, excavator, backhoe, loader, skip n drag, and haul truck). Our jobs sites are primarily located from Paso Robles to Santa Maria. All employees will receive an evaluation after their first month of employment, to ensure that job standards are being met.

We are looking for team players with great attitudes. Full-time positions come with highly competitive pay (DOE), matching 401k plan, and medical/dental/vision coverage.

This Fourth of July brought heartbreak as we watched the historic Templeton Feed & Grain mill go up in flames. An iconic building that stood as a symbol of our town’s roots and grit is now gone—but what remains is the strength of this incredible community.

SpurrCo is honored to have our tractors on-site, supporting the cleanup efforts. A huge thank you to ABI for leading the demolition with professionalism, care, and urgency. Your team is doing an amazing job during such a difficult time.

While it’s sad to say goodbye to a piece of history, the way this town shows up for each other is something truly special. In the ashes, we see unity, resilience, and the unwavering heart of Templeton.

Meet SpurrCo’s Employee of the Week: Tim Brown!

Tim has been with SpurrCo for an incredible 25 years, and if you looked up the word dependable in the dictionary, you’d probably find his name right there.

He shows up on time every day, never complains, and can do just about anything and everything that needs to get done. A true self-starter, Tim is not only super independent, but also an incredible teacher to those around him. He’s the guy you can always count on—and he does it all with a heart of gold.

While he might be a bit of a workaholic, Tim also knows how to enjoy the important things in life. He loves spending time with his wife and their dogs up in Yosemite, and when he gets a chance to relax, you’ll often find him hunting, fishing, or with his horses—lifelong companions that mean the world to him.

We’re beyond grateful to have Tim on our team. Honestly, we can’t imagine what SpurrCo would look like without him.
