Aviation Camps of the Carolinas

Aviation Camps of the Carolinas All things aviation. Career exposure for teenagers both aviation and confidence building. This camp

Aviation Camps of the Carolinas is one day of “everything aviation” for Middle and High School students at a local airport in the region. Students age 8-13 and 14-17 spend the day seeing all the career opportunities offered by aviation both in the air and on the ground. Plus tips and tricks to help them tackle social growing pains such as shyness, bullies, self-confidence, and leadership, delivere

d through interactive student feedback and based on my 40 years of military and commercial aviation experience making success an attitude. One or two students will win an orientation flight with the local flight school. My background as, carrier-qualified Navy pilot and then wide body commercial aircraft, allows me to take the mystery out of:
• How do airplanes fly
• How can any student succeed in a career path supporting Math and Science
–> If you love flying as much as I do, you will learn, “it’s not that hard”

Turns out, today was a great day. You would not ordinarily think to go to a park in uptown Charlotte at 42° early morning. But that's exactly what I did as I interviewed with Morning Journalist at WCNC-TV Charlotte, Ruby Durham. She truly did her homework, because there is a lot going on in my head. And she asked me some great questions so I was able to let you all in on what I think about everything. This feature will be a part of black history month coming up as early as next week. So I hope you all get a chance to watch. It was a fun morning. And this was my favorite picture. Thanks so much to Kevin Hyrams, our President of Charlotte Area Association of Black Journalists, and
Managing Director, of Sidereal Branding.
Thank you both.
