The kids came and helped put in drain tile doe a customer today. We rented an excavator to dig the trench, had to use a jackhammer to break up the shelf rock, and the put gravel and dirt back in over the tiles.

A bathroom Josh and Noah remodeled in Christiansburg. Josh did the walls, while Noah tiled the niche.

Josh and crew were hired to put in a new shower...they ran into some problems though. It was wet...too wet under the floor. Josh went inspecting, and found out water was collecting under this particular portion of the house.

After a lot of phone calls to figure out the best way to proceed, Josh crawled under the house with a short shovel and a garden spade to put in 2 footers and 2 house jacks to lift up the center of the house. They also had to shim and repair about 15 ft. of floor joists on one side of the house. (Sorry...they were too busy moving dirt to get pictured of this part.)

The home owner is VERY excited about her new shower!

I made another built-in cabinet the other day. The owner came up with the design and I made it. They are going to paint it and will try to send pictures. But here is the finished/unpainted cabinet with storage cubbies for their laundry room.

Josh and Noah were laying drainage pipe for a realty job , and they needed more hands.

Josh rented a miniature excavator from Aztec Rental in Christiansburg to dig the line. He also had the kids and I bring along his 60 lb jackhammer to get rid of some big rocks.

The kids and I started helping around noon, and we were done around 3:30-4pm.
