Earlier this year we announced that, in an effort to meet the increasing market demand, we are expanding with a NEW property in Alvin, TX! Construction on our new 23,000 square foot building will be complete soon and the 7.5 acre property is quickly filling up with Transformers, Circuit Breakers, and more!

This new expansion allows us to offer TWO locations for our customers with indoor and outdoor storage capabilites. Both locations have 24/7 surveillance with well trained and experienced MARS personnel onsite to assist with any maintenance needs. MARS also offers transportation coordination on a cost + 10% basis.

This past Monday, MARS sponsored a team to participate in a golf tournament at Wildcat Golf Club to support Isaiah 117 House, a non-profit organization with a purpose to provide safe, loving homes for foster children awaiting placement.

With 57 homes across 13 states, Isaiah House is on a mission to...

- Reduce trauma for children awaiting placement
- Lighten the load for child welfare staff
- Ease the transition for foster families

The Mars Family also donated interior building materials to assist in the construction of their new home in Brazoria County, TX!

Essential Functions:

+ All of these - Physical requirements (heavy lifting, standing, bending, climbing, handling and assembly parts, can’t be claustrophobic, must be willing to fly)
+ Mental requirements (mental concentration to carry out the work, diligent, conscientious, and have a sense of urgency)
+ Equipment use (forklift, power tools)
+ Working conditions- frequently outdoors, frequently in small spaces

Qualifications:

+ High School diploma
+ Legal authority to permanently work in the U.S.
+ Able and willing to travel up to 70% of the year
+ Eligible for International Travel
+ Understanding of basic electronic principles
+ Knowledge and skill of basic hand tools
+ Minimum of 3 Years of High Voltage Experience

+ Assemble High Voltage Transformers
+ Assemble HV Switchyards
+ Use Common Hand Tools
+ Mechanical er****on of High Voltage Substations
+ Pulling & Terminating Control Cable
+ Operation of Vacuum Dehydration Units

⚡️Get to know our CEO!⚡️

Bill Mars leads the company with over 30 years of power generation, management, and technical experience. He is responsible for expanding MARS Transformers’ market presence as a global distributer of energy parts and equipment. Prior to founding MARS Transformers, Bill was Vice President of High Voltage at ProEnergy Services, Vice President of Operations for Equisales Associates, a support manager for GE Energy Rentals, a Products Specialist for Thermadyne, and a Technician for the Vermont Air National Guard and the United States Air Force. Bill has a Bachelor of Business Management degree from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA from the University of Baltimore.

While away from the office, Bill enjoys spending time with his wife, Kathy, and their six adult children. As an avid sports fan and Vermont native, Bill can also be found supporting his New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox on game days (always a fun subject here in our Houston office!)!
